We consider not only the electrical properties of individual components, but also analyze the behavior of the complete system under realistic operating conditions. Unlike conventional lumped circuit elements, the interconnects within integrated radio-frequency circuits have physical and geometric properties that significantly influence overall functionality. For this reason, we combine circuit design, layout, electromagnetic simulation and thermal analysis within a unified development environment.<\/p><p>For development, we use modern design platforms and manufacturer-verified process design kits that are directly aligned with the respective fabrication process. This allows analog radio-frequency circuits to be virtually analyzed and optimized at an early stage. The simulation covers linear and nonlinear properties, matching networks, signal integrity, power behavior and thermal effects. In addition, electromagnetic coupling, parasitic effects and spatial interactions between individual circuit sections can be taken into account. This results in robust designs with high functionality and reduced development risks.<\/p><p>A key advantage of analog radio-frequency and RFIC design lies in the seamless integration of different development disciplines. Schematic capture, layout, radio-frequency simulation, electromagnetic analysis and system simulation work together directly, enabling efficient optimization of the complete system.<\/p><p>This shortens development cycles and increases the likelihood that the first prototype will already meet all desired requirements.
