Our history
Since 1999, WaveLab Engineering has been developing innovative solutions in radio-frequency engineering, microwave technology, antenna development and electromagnetic simulation. As a specialized engineering firm, we support companies from industry, research and technology in demanding development projects — from the initial idea through successful implementation. Our focus is on practical solutions, in-depth system analysis and state-of-the-art measurement and simulation technology.
Since our founding, we have been based at our current location in Lätti and have continuously expanded our expertise. Early on, we established a close collaboration with applied wave research in the field of radio-frequency simulation and system simulation. Since then, we have supported customers in Switzerland and abroad with technical support, training and the application of modern simulation tools such as Microwave Office and Visual System Simulator. Through continuous training in linear, nonlinear, electromagnetic and multiphysics simulations, we have built extensive expertise for complex development tasks.
We combine simulation, development and measurement technology into a powerful overall solution. To achieve this, we continuously invest in a modern pool of measurement equipment, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and other specialized radio-frequency measurement systems. Our infrastructure is complemented by a shielded anechoic chamber with multi-axis positioning technology for precise antenna and wireless measurements. This enables us to analyze, optimize and verify prototypes and radio-frequency systems under realistic conditions.
In addition to customer projects, we have been actively involved in research and education for many years. Since 2013, we have contributed our experience as experts at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in the field of radio-frequency electronics. Between 2011 and 2025, we developed and tested space electronics projects together with the Physics Institute of the University of Bern. These projects included electronics systems designed to fly on satellites in their final stage, as well as test equipment for prior commissioning on the ground. Further milestones include the development of broadband antennas for SBB railway applications and joint innovation projects with additional universities and industry partners.
In 1999, as today, we stand for technical precision, many years of experience and innovative development services in radio-frequency engineering, antennas, simulation and electromagnetic compatibility. Together with our customers, we develop future-ready solutions that deliver technical excellence and create sustainable added value.
