What is Microwave Electronics?

Microwave electronics sometimes referred to as microwave engineering, is the study or design of microwave systems, components or circuits. It differs from conventional electronics in several ways. In microwave electronics, the time it takes for a signal to travel from one point of a circuit to another depends on the timing of the signals. However, in conventional electronics it is static; if a switch is turned on, the circuit will complete in a set time. That's why RF and microwave electronics is classed as communication technology even though an electronic component is still required to complete any communication process. And, that's why you need a reliable and experienced partner with outstanding knowledge of microwave electronics.

What type of projects are undertaken by WaveLab Engineering AG?

As well as typical RF / RF work, we measure antennas and determine EMC emissions in our quest to offer clients a complete and versatile service based on their products and individual needs. Since 1999, we have been involved in many exciting RF / RF and microwave electronics projects. For example, WaveLab Engineering has handled the technical support for Swiss customers using Microwave Office, Visual System Simulator, EM Sight, AXIEM, Analyst, etc. for over fifteen years. We also design and develop antennas and determine the radiated EMI / EMC interference of DUTs. Our ready built range includes railway antennas from 790MHz to 6GHz, linear polarised patch antennas and LogPer antennas from 100MHz to 2.5GHz, and you can see the complete line at www.wavelab.ch.

Customised Microwave Electronics Services

The development of multi-faceted customised solutions and individual client-specific projects is one of our major strengths. The key to our success in this area is our extensive and highly-specialised knowledge of the entire high-frequency and microwave electronics field. Thanks to the availability of two measuring stations, we can also offer more flexibility in antenna measurement or DUT emissions and can adapt stations with sensitive measuring receivers or VNAs. Additionally, we are committed to resolving any task requested by our customers through solutions that are as affordable as they are viable.
